MPC in pictures: Montrose Beach is a great place

Maria Aleman Machin @ http://www.flickr.com/photos/mariaplus32005/

It’s been beautiful and sunny day in Chicago lately, so we’re devoting our photo of the week to one of our favorite summertime places in Chicago, Montrose Beach.

Why is Montrose Beach so great? The variety of available activities — swimming, picnicking, soccer, volleyball — draw people in and keep them coming back. Check out Placemaking Chicago’s uplifting story about Montrose Beach!

We used to love to go to Montrose beach in the summer. Volleyball, swimming, making sand castles.....ahh the memories. Thank you for bringing them back for me!
