Executive Advisors

Executive Advisors are regional CEOs (or highest-ranking regional corporate officers) who lend their names in support of the work of the Metropolitan Planning Council (MPC) and make an annual commitment of at least $15,000. There are no required meetings, but individuals are welcome to become involved on issues of interest to them or their companies. Starting with Bill Osborn of the Northern Trust as our first Executive Advisor in 2002, this group continues to add new members.

A primary motivation for joining MPC's Executive Advisors is civic engagement and the desire to contribute to the vibrancy and vitality of Chicago and the surrounding region. Executive Advisors are listed on the MPC letterhead, in our Annual Report, and in materials distributed to other corporate partners and donors. Benefits, such as the visibility that derives from partnering with a results-oriented organization, also include: invitations to exclusive networking events, panels and seminars, access to our Employer-Assisted Housing expertise, and volunteer opportunities for the company's senior executives with MPC's Community Building Initiative.
