Skyler Larrimore joined MPC in 2016 as the executive assistant to the president and executive vice president and now works as MPC's Operations Manager. She provides administrative and organizational support, and promotes MPC’s continued success through development, human resources, and fundraising.
Prior to joining MPC, Skyler worked as a community organizer in Minneapolis, New Orleans, and Chicago. Skyler’s career has focused on promoting local, community-based campaigns for housing affordability, home energy savings and neighborhood safety. With Aeon, a Minneapolis-based affordable housing provider, she served as a resident connections coordinator to promote neighborhood quality of life alongside the residents of eight buildings. Later, as a local organizer with Elevate Energy (formerly CNT Energy), Skyler led a metrics-based community education campaign to connect Chicago’s west suburban residents with methods to lower home energy costs.
Before coming to MPC, she worked as a local organizer with Community Organizing and Family Issues (COFI) to implement leadership development workshops and community visioning with Chicago Public Schools and HeadStart parents on Chicago’s South and West sides. Skyler is passionate about MPC’s work to ensure access to high-quality housing, transportation and employment opportunities for all residents in Chicagoland.
Skyler received a bachelor’s degree in sociology and geography with a concentration in urban studies from Macalester College. A native of Chicago’s North Center neighborhood, Skyler currently resides in Ukrainian Village. She enjoys running, biking, cooking and supporting local businesses throughout the city.
