On June 16, 2009, the Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and U. S. Department of Transportation announced an interagency partnership to improve access to affordable housing, more transportation options, and lower transportation costs while protecting the environment in communities nationwide. This is a new opportunity to realize some of Reconnecting Neighborhoods’ recommendations.
