Background
Tim Grzesiakowski joined MPC in 2011 as project manager of the new Commute Options pilot program, led by MPC in partnership with Civic Consulting Alliance, and inspired by the Chicago Climate Action Plan. Tim is recruiting 10 to 15 regional employers to participate in Commute Options by offering one or more existing and new incentives—including the RTA/CTA Transit Benefits Fare Program, bike sharing, carpooling, Pace vanpool, car sharing, telecommuting, employer-assisted housing, and Emergency Ride Home programs—to encourage their employees to get out of their cars and into a better ride to work.
Tim has more than 25 years experience in transportation marketing and planning. As Hewitt’s (now Aon Hewitt's) commuter transportation manager from 2000 to 2011, he was responsible for managing associate transportation programs at the company’s headquarters in Lincolnshire, Ill., as well as managing transportation programs for Hewitt’s offices in North America. He also was involved in planning and developing the company's environmental programs worldwide.
Through Tim’s efforts, in 2006 and 2008, Hewitt and Jones Lang LaSalle received recognition from the Clean Air Counts program for their efforts in reducing air pollution in the Chicago area. In 2009, Hewitt was ranked #210 on Newsweek magazine’s list of Top Green Companies. In 2010, Hewitt received two awards from Clean Air Works! in Charlotte, N.C. Tim has been a member of the Association for Commuter Transportation for nearly two decades, and is a former Midwest chapter vice president.
Tim and his wife live in Elk Grove Village, Ill.
