Solutions for strong, vibrant metropolitan regions

For 80 years, the Metropolitan Planning Council (MPC) has made the Chicago region a better place to live and work by partnering with businesses, communities and governments to address the area's toughest planning and development challenges. Our Annual Report explains how our work is having an impact—in Chicagoland and beyond.

Impact

While MPC works to solve today's urgent problems, we consistently think ahead to prepare the region for the needs of tomorrow. Our efforts are grounded in greater metropolitan Chicago, but our solutions can be put to work in cities and regions across the U.S. and around the world.

That spirit of reinvention has driven us for eight decades, inspires others to support us—and is propelling our work into the future.
