Adopt a Beach Training

April 1, 2014 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

| Free

Alliance for the Great Lakes presents trainings for teams interested in its Adopt-a-Beach program. New and experienced team leaders are encouraged to attend to brush up on their data collection and entry skills. Training sessions improve the accuracy of the data we collect and help us make a bigger improvement to the Great Lakes. At the training, you will be given a startup packet. A water test kit will be sent to you once you register your first date (please register your visit at least 2 weeks prior to your intended date). If you are not ready to register a date, still come to check it out.

Tier One Introductory Training

Perfect for the returning or first-time adopter: We invite all new and returning teams to attend an Adopt-a-Beach™ training. We will review Adopt-a-Beach™ data collection forms and protocol, discuss any recent changes and answer questions.

Tier Two Advanced Training

Includes information on important quality control measures that ensure data is reliable and can be used by beach health officials. Introductory training is required as prerequisite to advanced training. See program requirements for more info on becoming Tier Two certified.
