Please join us Saturday, July 19th, for the next Calumet Outdoors Series hike. We will be hiking at Jackson Park, one of the great and historic gems of the Chicago Park District. The centerpiece of the 1893 World’s Fair, of Devil and White City fame, Jackson Park surprises visitors with its combination of natural, recreational, and historic amenities. It is the ideal urban parking setting. This hike will be led by historian, planner, and park enthusiast Jason Berry, Blue Island. Jason leads a great hike that includes informative bits nobody but an expert would know!
Location: Jackson Park, meet at Charles Darrow Bridge
Directions: The parking lot is immediately behind the Museum of Science and Industry. The entrance drive is south and east of the museum. Heading south on Lakeshore Drive, you will take the first right into the parking area. We will meet near the pedestrian bridge in the corner of the parking lot.
We hope to see everyone there!
