In 2022, we’ve launched a new strategic plan that not only leverages our strengths but establishes a strong vision for the future. We’ve chartered a new path that will bring communities, businesses, and government together to advance policy and drive systemic change toward a more racially equitable and economically just Chicago region.
As we move forward, we will direct our efforts toward a new vision that’s focused on three major pillars: Thriving Communities, Equitable Infrastructure and Just Public Systems. Learn more about the new vision below or by watching MPC's recent presentation from Darlene Hightower, MPC President & CEO, Vision for the Future: A New Strategic Path.
MPC’s Three Pillars
A Model for Planning
MPC remains committed to equitable engagement and outcomes in our region’s planning. Our long history of success at tackling some of the toughest regional planning and development challenges has been driven by collaborations and coalitions with communities, businesses, civic, and government to get at the heart of difficult issues. MPC’s impact in the region is achieved through a solid work model that utilizes research, policy, advocacy, and technical assistance.
Invest in the Chicago Region’s Future
An investment in MPC’s future is an investment in the Chicago region’s future. Please consider investing in MPC’s work so, together, we can make transformative change in the Chicago region.
MPC is seeking funding partners to invest in our work so we can build:
- Thriving Communities where people are affordably housed, have quality jobs, and live in healthy and resilient neighborhoods
- Equitable Infrastructure where everyone has safe drinking water and access to reliable mass-transit
- Just Public Systems that makes government more transparent and fair for all
You can help our vision become a reality by making an investment in our important work today. With your support, we can work to shape a Chicago region where every community is valued, every person has a voice, and every neighborhood thrives.
