Rolling Meadows pursues housing grant

The Metropolitan Planning Council will be studying ways to bring more affordable housing into Rolling Meadows, but many alderman made it clear Tuesday that it doesn’t necessarily mean those plans will be approved.

The city council agreed at its regular meeting to give $6,000 to the organization for grant applications.

The grant money would come from the state’s Affordable Housing Trust Fund, which could give $40,000 each for 15 potential units being built in the city.
