Q&A with Sasha
What was your dream job as a child?
Editor for a fashion magazine like Anna Wintour at Vogue. A perfectly normal choice for a ten-year-old. I've always loved fashion and even had a fashion blog in college. This influence likely came from my great-grandmother who never went a day without wearing lipstick. I have since switched my interest of fashion to policy issues.
Chicago region native? If not, where are you from and what brought you to the Windy City?
Born and raised Chicagoan. I grew up in Logan Square and attended high school Lane Tech College Prep. Following high school, I stayed in the city to attend DePaul University as an International Studies major, then graduate school for Public Policy. Recently, I just moved to Lincoln Square.
What are three items on your life bucket list?
1) I would love to live abroad for a year. I can see myself somewhere like Madrid where I can speak more Spanish or Brussels, the center of European politics. I am an avid traveler when we aren't experiencing a global pandemic.
2) See the Cubs win the World Series at Wrigley. I was out of town in 2016 when they won, and I will never forgive myself.
3) Visit 30 countries by the time I'm 30. I am currently at 15.
