Support our work

For the love of the place we call home, for over 80 years, the Metropolitan Planning Council has created a way forward for our region. We are an independent planning and policy organization that changes perceptions, conversations and the status quo. We believe that every neighborhood has promise. Every community should be heard. And every person can thrive.

Our efforts are grounded in the greater Chicago metropolitan region, including northeastern Illinois, northwestern Indiana and southeastern Wisconsin, but our solutions can be put to work in cities and regions across the U.S. and around the world.

MPC's research, advocacy and demonstration projects are funded entirely by contributions from individuals, corporations and foundations.
