Chloe joined MPC in 2016. She is a public health professional whose work across the organization includes policy analysis, qualitative and quantitative research, community engagement, and technical assistance and coaching.
As Manager of Health Equity and Planning, Chloe brings population health priorities into MPC’s program areas. In particular, she has brought elements of health impact review and community health needs assessment into projects. Examples include the use of health values in the Corridor Development Initiative process, examining the health effects of gentrification and displacement, and working to develop a logic scoring preference model for land acquisition that prioritizes health and racial equity. Chloe supports the Great Rivers Chicago, Land Use, and Our Equitable Future projects, among others.
Before working in urban planning and policy, Chloe was a researcher and teacher for the Intergroup Dialogue programs at the University of Illinois at Chicago and the University of Michigan. She brings this background in identity-based education into her role as Co-Chair of MPC’s Equity Committee. Chloe is also a member of MPC’s Management and Evaluation teams.
Chloe received her master’s degree in public health from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). She is a Co-Chair of the Partnership for Healthy Chicago, the body responsible for conducting the Chicago Department of Public Health’s health needs assessment for accreditation, and a member of the American Public Health Association.
Chloe lives in Heart of Chicago, and tries to spend as much time as possible outside, especially swimming in the Lake, hiking, and geocaching.
